The industrial estate

The termites here
Three species, one of them serious.
Sydney has three subterranean termites worth naming. Coptotermes acinaciformis is the destructive one and the reason inspections matter: it nests out of sight and works through structural timber from the inside. Schedorhinotermes is the second most common in damage claims. Nasutitermes mostly takes fences, stumps and decking rather than the house itself.
Telling them apart changes the treatment, which is why an inspection identifies the species rather than just confirming activity.
