How it works
Termites carry it home.
Termidor is a liquid termiticide that creates a treated zone in the soil around the building. It does not repel termites, and that is the point.
- Termites cannot detect it. They pass through the treated zone without knowing it is there, picking up the active ingredient as they go.
- It spreads through the colony. Termites that pass through survive long enough to get back to the nest, and pass it on to the rest of the colony.
- Termidor HE goes further. BASF says its High Efficiency formulation spreads further into the soil than any other in-ground treatment.
Treatment is recommended after a full termite inspection, so the system is matched to what is actually happening on your property.

What the warranty covers
BASF's Termidor Assurance Warranty covers termite damage to the structure, up to $2 million. It applies when Termidor has been applied correctly by a BASF Accredited Applicator, and it is offered to Australian homeowners.
Keeping it active
An annual inspection by an accredited Termidor applicator is mandatory. After each one, the warranty extends for another 12 months once every recommendation in the report has been carried out and the treatment has been paid in full.

How long does Termidor protect a home?
BASF rates Termidor to protect a home for up to 8 years. The warranty itself runs 12 months at a time and is renewed after each annual inspection.
Who can offer the $2 million warranty?
Only a BASF Accredited Applicator can apply Termidor and offer the warranty. Mark is accredited in Termidor.
What do I need to do to keep the warranty?
Book the annual inspection, carry out any recommendations in the inspection report, and have the treatment paid in full. Miss those and the warranty is not extended.
What Australian Standard is the treatment done to?
Pre-construction treatments on new builds are done to AS 3660.1. Treatments on existing buildings are done to AS 3660.2.
Can Termidor be used with a baiting system?
Yes. BASF's Trelona bait system can be used alongside Termidor. Which combination suits your property is decided by the inspection.
What does a Termidor treatment cost?
It is quoted after an inspection, because the size of the building, the construction and what the inspection finds all change the job. The quote is free with no callout fee, and the inspection is from $280 + GST.
